safety
Powered gates are legally required to be safe. We risk-assess and force-test gates to BS EN 12453 and issue the documentation.
An automated gate is classed as machinery, so by law it must be risk-assessed and proven safe — it has to stop and reverse before it can hurt a person. Force testing measures the closing forces with calibrated equipment to confirm the gate is within safe limits.
We force-test new gates as standard and offer it on existing gates of any make, issuing the certificate and technical file you need to show the gate is compliant.
